There was this man I had fallen
head over heels for.
I fell hard for him but got over him
more quickly than the last.
It's just that the other day
I found out that "she said yes"
(It's only been 5 months)
and now I'm left wondering
what happened? What was wrong with me?
Dropped like hot coals.
It must've been love at first sight.
I bet when he saw her, there was no other woman to behold.
That's what I like to think, anyway.
It makes me happy for them.
Someday, I hope to have a love like that
but I'd prefer to spare
that other poor girls crashing and burning heart.
But also, I want it to be true.
