Listen to me.

I think that I must be a hard person to get to know.

It's somewhat of a conundrum to me,
see I forget to verbalize things that I think are obvious
(maybe they aren't).

I recognize that most people
probably feel the same way about themselves
in regards to being misunderstood;
everybody is lonely.
and so I try to fill the gap.
Praise God for his comfort and freedom!

It is so important to give people an ear.
I would venture to say in many cases, it is more important than giving words.

Father, let me have patience,
love and compassion in everything.
Let me be an ear, even when all I wish for is an ear.
