This summer feels like a dream.
I feel alive, (most of time).
Lightning bugs and sultry nights make me feel like I'm on another planet.
I made home-made bread today
and let it expand in my stomach.
it feels like triumph.
We have an apricot tree
that I didn't even know we had
because it's never produced any fruit.
This year they covered the lawn.
I think God does that.
I hope he does that with me!
I want fruit
to grow from my limbs
and fall on a sleepers head
to wake them up
and rejoice
in sweet
redeeming
harvest.
Today I went to the senior center in Genoa,
the one my Grandma Konz goes to
(she's the one I look like)
and I sang some songs.
They were encouraging
and they passed a hat--
I was flattered.
God, I'm trusting in you to provide my every need.
Send me to Thailand in your time, not mine.
